A Builder of Dreams

By Azalea Ellis

A Builder of Dreams follows thirteen-year-old Siobhan as she tries to uncover what her sorcerer grandfather, Raaz, is secretly working on inside his warded tower workshop, driven by recurring nightmares tied to her late mother. Claudio, Raaz's newly invited research associate, begins offering dream-magic sessions to villagers while quietly encouraging Siobhan's investigation. When unexplained magical anomalies appear around the household, including a transformed treehouse that evokes her mother's old familiar, Siobhan grows convinced that Raaz and Claudio are hiding something connected to her mother's death. After Claudio intercepts a break-in attempt and lets her into the tower himself, Raaz catches them there; that night, Claudio confides a troubling allegation about Raaz that Siobhan agrees to keep secret.
