A Parade of Horribles

By Matt Dinniman

A Parade of Horribles, the eighth book in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, finds Carl and his companion Donut arriving on the dungeon's tenth floor, a seven-heat vehicle race against rival teams competing to avoid last-place elimination. Assigned a converted food-truck vehicle, they navigate hazardous terrain, monstrous wildlife, and increasingly aggressive competitors while weighing combat upgrades against costly choices, including whether to help stranded rivals at their own expense. Between heats, Carl and Donut acquire new magical rewards and abilities, take on a quest to reunite a fellow racer with a partner who was magically split into two people, and receive a secret note from a rival demanding they kill two rival teams before a proposed private meeting.
