A barrier specialist among the Sentinels who contains Royal Guards during the siege. The barriers isolate these exceptionally dangerous Formorians long enough for Hunting, Elaine, and the other defenders to fight them under controlled conditions.

Elaine's beautician, a mirror-element classer who is late in pregnancy. She asks whether Elaine can attend the birth, but Elaine's unpredictable Sentinel obligations prevent her from making a firm promise.

A level-256 healer found alone at an overwhelmed frontline triage sector. Severe exhaustion has forced him to stabilize the dying, return lightly wounded soldiers to combat, and leave serious but stable cases waiting for care.

Elaine's counterpart in the class library, who advises her that she may reach another major class threshold and helps her consider healer paths.

The dwarf border leader (Supporting)

The senior authority at the dwarf-held border wall who receives Elaine under a custom of hospitality toward healers. He explains that the territory behind her is a dead zone and treats her arrival as a matter of importance.

The dwarf post commander (Supporting)

A senior dwarf military authority at the border headquarters. After the formal hospitality ritual, she hears Elaine's account of humans, Remus, and the Formorian War and summons other officials to record the unexpected contact.

A high-level mage who leads the seven-dwarf escort assigned to take Elaine toward Nolgrad's capital. She is responsible for Elaine's safety and directs the party's travel, formation, and protection as they enter the forest.

Iona's kitsune former lover, now an initiate at the Abbey of the Guiding Waves. After her father discovered their relationship, Julie chose the Abbey and its peaceful life, leaving Iona with a farewell letter.

Alfie (Antagonist)

The pirate admiral of the Black Shark, confronted by Iona inside the pirate stronghold. His wood-focused power is bound closely to his vessel, supplemented by spatial magic and a shark companion.

Rory (Minor)

First appears in chapter 52

A cat beastkin bard and former captive whose modest healing ability helps keep Iona alive after the destruction of the pirate base. He travels with the people escaping the ruined settlement.
