A woman from the World State who was stranded years earlier on the New Mexico Savage Reservation. Age, motherhood, and life without the comforts and medicines of London have left her isolated from both cultures. She longs to return to the civilization she remembers.

Linda's son, born and raised on the Reservation. Unlike the people around him in appearance and background, he is immediately fascinated by Lenina and eager to speak with the visitors from his mother's lost civilization.
