Control

By Sean Oswald

The sixth entry in Welcome to the Multiverse begins as the System formally names Silas Renner Heaven's Anointed Forerunner for Earth, granting him broad authority over the planet's survival and advancement just as Earth's first incursion portal opens without a known location. While recruiting an administrative staff and delegating negotiations to trusted allies, Silas tracks the incursion to Dubai, where an organized invading force is colonizing rather than raiding the city. He leads his team to rescue civilians, helps a local defender rise into a leadership role, and then negotiates directly with the invaders, discovering they are refugees fleeing a devastated homeworld and seeking resettlement on Earth. As a fragile truce holds in Dubai, incursions erupt worldwide, stretching Earth's defenders thin and drawing Silas toward a new, escalating crisis in Sydney.
