Diplomatic Immunity

By Lois McMaster Bujold

This entry in the Vorkosigan Saga interrupts Miles Vorkosigan and Ekaterin's delayed honeymoon when the Emperor orders Miles to Graf Station, where a Barrayaran trade fleet has been impounded after a security officer vanished and a rescue attempt turned violent. Serving as an Imperial envoy in the unfamiliar territory of the quaddies, Miles must untangle sharply conflicting accounts of the incident, protect the fleet's detained personnel, and determine what really happened to the missing officer before the standoff escalates further.
