Dragon Heart - Book 12: Path to the Glory

By Kirill Klevanski

In the twelfth entry in the Dragon Heart series, the mysterious swordsman Erhard Darkhan strikes Hadjar down and pulls him into a shared vision of inner training, revealing that both men trace their swordsmanship to the same legendary teacher, the First Darkhan. Once Hadjar recovers and rebuilds his border army, an imperial dispatch summons him back into the war: the crown prince is trapped inside a Laskanian facility and must be freed before the next new moon. Hadjar gathers a small party, including the necromancer Annette and a hired tracker, to infiltrate Laskan itself, settling on a plan to abduct the enemy's young emperor during his capital birthday celebration and force a prisoner exchange.
