Fused

By J.L. Mullins

Fused continues Tala's story as she balances magical research and combat experimentation with daily demands in Bandfast. After a destructive weapons test damages her storage companion Kit's doorway, Tala finds new living arrangements with Lynn, then adopts a taxing iron body-paint technique that intensifies her magic at a steep physical cost and interferes with how the city's protective wards recognize her. As suppressed memories resurface, revealing that an unidentified arcane deliberately targeted her mind on past occasions, Tala shares the evidence with the Archon Jenna, who takes it to the city's leadership, while at home Lynn takes on a newly arrived mageling named Kannis, changing the household Tala shares with her.
