Gentleman Jole and the Red Queen

Gentleman Jole and the Red Queen follows Admiral Oliver Jole and Vicereine Cordelia Vorkosigan on the colony world of Sergyar, after the death of Cordelia's husband, Aral. When Cordelia reveals plans to use long-stored genetic material to start a new family of her own, she offers Jole the chance to become a father as well, using material from both herself and Aral. As Jole weighs this offer alongside his demanding military duties, his and Cordelia's long professional partnership begins to shift into something more personal, even as both navigate the practical, emotional, and political complications of parenthood on their own terms.
