Once more revived as a ghola grown by the Bene Tleilax, this incarnation of the ancient Atreides swordmaster is being raised and trained on a hidden world by the Bene Gesserit sisterhood. They guard him closely as an asset of enormous but uncertain value, a boy carrying the potential of a legendary warrior whose many past lives lie locked within him.

A Reverend Mother of the Bene Gesserit and one of the sisterhood's most capable and unusually independent leaders, descended from the old Atreides line. Shrewd, willful, and willing to bend the order's rigid ways when survival demands it, she plays a central role in the sisterhood's dangerous maneuvering.

A celebrated retired military commander, or Bashar, of the Bene Gesserit, renowned across the empire for tactical genius and unshakable loyalty. An old man carrying Atreides blood, he is called out of retirement to protect and train the sisterhood's precious Duncan Idaho ghola.

The Mother Superior who leads the Bene Gesserit, directing the whole order's perilous strategy against rising threats. Cool, calculating, and far-seeing, she is willing to spend lives, her own sisters' included, to secure the sisterhood's survival.
