Ice World

By B. V. Larson

The sixteenth Undying Mercenaries novel opens with James McGill drawn into his old comrade Carlos's scheme involving illegal galactic coins, an entanglement that puts McGill under investigation and, after a wedding turns into a Tau ambush, draws his family and Galina Turov's into serious danger. As Tau operatives press old debts and threats against everyone McGill cares about, he is forced to improvise increasingly risky countermeasures while trying to trace the coins back to their true source. The search leads him from an underwater confrontation to a frozen, hidden world tied to the mysterious Claver clones, uncovering secrets about frontier currency, alien factions, and a colony Earth's authorities never knew existed.
