Invasion

By Sean Oswald

The seventh book of Welcome to the Multiverse continues Silas's life on a monster-ravaged Earth, where his growing power has drawn the attention of the Turga family, an alien lineage that proposes a courtship-linked alliance and challenges him to a formal duel. His victory earns him rewards and a chance to evolve his abilities, which leads to a jarring vision of a possible future in which Earth is devastated. Unsettled but undeterred, Silas turns back to practical work: rescuing scattered survivors from ruined cities, fighting off monster incursions, and negotiating settlement terms with alien refugee peoples now arriving on Earth. As he builds a command structure and gathers allies from several species to prepare for further incursions, Silas also navigates the personal and political strings attached to the Turga courtship and his rapidly expanding role as an unofficial leader.
