Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Bram Stoker's Dracula, H. G. Wells' The Invisible Man recap

This collection condenses three stories of dangerous experiments and supernatural pursuit. Victor Frankenstein creates life, abandons his creation, and loses his family when the rejected being turns to revenge; Victor dies after pursuing him into the Arctic, and the remorseful creation leaves to end his own life. Count Dracula moves from Transylvania to England, preys on Lucy and Mina, and is opposed by Jonathan Harker, Mina, Van Helsing, and Lucy's friends. They destroy Dracula near his castle and free Mina, but Quincey Morris dies. Griffin discovers invisibility but cannot reverse it safely. Kemp alerts the authorities, Griffin is killed by a crowd, and Thomas Marvel retains the stolen notebooks without mastering their secrets.

Victor Frankenstein becomes obsessed with discovering how to create life and secretly animates a body assembled from human remains. Horrified by the result, he abandons the being. The intelligent creation learns language and compassion by observing a family, but repeated rejection turns his longing for fellowship into anger against Victor. He kills Victor's young brother and causes an innocent woman to be condemned. He demands a female companion and promises to disappear with her. Victor begins the work, then destroys it, fearing the consequences. The creation retaliates by killing Victor's friend Henry and his bride Elizabeth; Victor's father also dies in grief. Victor pursues his enemy into the Arctic, where explorer Robert Walton rescues him. Victor dies aboard the ship. The creation appears over his body, mourns both Victor and the victims of his revenge, and leaves across the ice intending to destroy himself.

Victor Frankenstein's attempt to make life ends with the deaths of his family and friends. After pursuing his creation into the Arctic, Victor dies; the remorseful being departs intending to die as well. The collection then turns to Jonathan Harker, who discovers that his client Count Dracula is a vampire preparing to move from Transylvania to England. Dracula travels by ship and attacks Lucy Westenra. Van Helsing and Lucy's friends try to save her, but she dies and returns as a vampire; they release her from that state and begin hunting Dracula. Mina compiles the group's records, but Dracula attacks her and creates a supernatural bond that threatens to transform her. The hunters destroy his English refuges and chase his final box of earth toward his castle. Mina's link helps them track him. Jonathan and Quincey open the box before sunset and kill Dracula. Mina is freed, while Quincey dies from wounds received in the fight.

After the fatal ambitions of Victor Frankenstein and the destruction of Count Dracula, a bandaged stranger arrives at an Iping inn. He is Griffin, a scientist who made his body invisible but has no reliable way to reverse the process. Exposure forces him to flee without clothes, and he uses theft and violence to survive. He coerces Thomas Marvel into carrying his books, but Marvel escapes with them and seeks protection. Griffin then takes refuge with his former acquaintance Dr. Kemp. He explains his experiments and proposes that Kemp help him establish power through a campaign of fear and murder. Kemp instead contacts the authorities. Griffin escapes, kills an official, and declares Kemp his first target. During the attack Kemp runs into a crowd, whose members seize the unseen assailant and beat him. Griffin dies and his body becomes visible. Marvel later runs an inn with the money he acquired and secretly keeps Griffin's notebooks, but their coded formulas remain beyond his understanding.

Frankenstein closes after the creation kills Elizabeth and Victor pursues him into the Arctic. Victor dies aboard Walton's ship; the creation mourns him, accepts the ruin caused by his revenge, and departs intending to die. Dracula closes when Mina's connection to the count helps the hunters pursue his last earth box to Transylvania. Jonathan and Quincey kill Dracula before sunset, freeing Mina, although Quincey dies from his wounds. The Invisible Man closes after Griffin announces a campaign of terror and targets Kemp for death. Kemp helps organize the pursuit, and a crowd overwhelms Griffin after he attacks. Griffin dies and becomes visible again. Marvel prospers from the money he carried away and secretly keeps Griffin's scientific notebooks, though he cannot understand the coded formulas well enough to reproduce the discovery.
