Mirror Dance

By Lois McMaster Bujold

In this entry of the Vorkosigan Saga, an unnamed clone of Miles Vorkosigan successfully impersonates him as Admiral Naismith, commandeering a Dendarii warship and a combat squad for an unauthorized raid meant to rescue dozens of children from a Jacksonian clone house before their bodies are used in brain transplants. When Miles learns that someone using his covert identity has taken the ship toward Jackson's Hole, he must decide how to respond without exposing that the impersonator is his own secret brother, created years earlier from a childhood sample of Miles for a Komarran plot against his father. As Miles moves to intervene, the raid grows more dangerous, endangering both the rescued children and his own people.
