New Dreams

By Shawn Wilson

The fourth entry in the Ultimate Level 1 series follows Max and his small, unusually powerful party as they push through the tower's early floors while working hard to hide just how strong they have become. After an explosion destroys the faction's crafting workshop and mortally wounds one of its crafters, Max performs a mercy killing at the dying man's request and secretly gains rare crafting abilities that he keeps hidden even from his own allies; around the same time, the party recruits an elf ranger named Cordelia while carefully managing what she and the wider faction learn about their true capabilities. As they clear rare monster spawns, defeat a dangerous plant-based floor boss, and Max quietly develops a second, disguised identity to practice his new crafting skills in the city, the group's growing power begins to attract exactly the kind of attention they have been trying to avoid.
