Personal

19th in the Jack Reacher series. After an assassination attempt narrowly misses the French president in Paris, Reacher is drawn into a covert operation built around one constraint: only a handful of elite retired snipers could have made the shot, and one of them, John Kott, is a man Reacher helped convict for murder years earlier. As pressure mounts ahead of an upcoming G8 summit, Reacher and State Department officer Casey Nice travel to Kott's abandoned Arkansas home, where they uncover a practice range built to the exact distance of the Paris shooting and evidence that Kott has spent his time since release specifically training to kill Reacher. When a second attack in Paris leaves an investigator dead and Reacher under arrest, the investigation grows more urgent.
