Fridolin's wife, intelligent and candid about the inner life beneath their respectable marriage. She tells him of a powerful attraction she once felt for a stranger during a family holiday, prompting him to answer with a confession of his own.

The adult daughter of one of Fridolin's elderly patients. In the immediate aftermath of her father's death, she unexpectedly declares that she loves Fridolin despite being engaged to another man.

The proprietor of a costume shop whom Fridolin persuades to reopen after midnight. While finding him a monk's disguise, Gibiser discovers his underage daughter with two men and reacts with anger and threats.

Gibiser's adolescent daughter, first seen in the costume shop dressed as a commedia dell'arte figure and hiding with two men. She behaves boldly toward Fridolin while her father tries to control the situation.
The masked woman (Supporting)

A woman at the masked gathering who urgently warns Fridolin that he has entered at great risk and must leave. When his disguise is exposed, she intervenes before the assembled guests can decide his punishment.
