Rise of the Density God

By ToraAKR

The second entry in the series follows Jiran, a boy whose magical growth has already outpaced ordinary limits, as he trains under his mentor Lenton while avoiding the emperor's notice and racing to satisfy a deadline requiring him to hunt a beast far above his level. When a mysterious Challenger force pulls Jiran through a portal and separates him from his companions, he survives a solitary trial that advances him to a new tier and ages him from eight to fifteen in the process. Returning to find that roughly a year has passed, Jiran learns his family and companions have scattered amid a worsening war, and sets out to find them while following the guidance of Daughter, a mysterious companion tied to the world's fading power, who points him toward the unfamiliar Jeweled Isles in search of answers about his abilities and a cure for an ally's curse.
