The Fourth Secret

The fourth book in the Divine Apostasy series finds Ruwen Starfield establishing a new dungeon, Shattered Sun, on the edge of his territory while rebuilding his combat abilities after losing his original class in a prior death. Alongside his companion Sift, Ruwen sets out on a resource-gathering mission that leads them into an underground oil lake guarded by a hostile creature and, deeper still, into a hidden facility used by an enemy faction to revive its soldiers for the ongoing war. After narrowly escaping the facility by triggering an explosion, Ruwen returns home with valuable intelligence and immediately turns to diplomacy, offering displaced cultivator clans equal standing and a permanent home within his city without requiring combat service in return.
