The ninth book in the Beneath the Dragoneye Moons series follows healer-in-training Elaine as she takes on a new spatial-focused class, Bookworm, which lets her store and read books to rapidly gain knowledge and skills. When a war class exercise reveals the true scale of her prior combat experience, Elaine becomes known across the school as a far more dangerous fighter than her healer identity suggested. She discovers a hidden, restricted section of the school library and begins secretly using it to grow her new class, while refining her magical abilities alongside her partner Iona ahead of the school's upcoming Gladiator Gauntlet tournament. The tournament team comes together around a powerful wind elemental ally as Elaine balances her studies with the competition's demanding preparations.
