Jake then claims the all-time C-grade Nevermore record and becomes Peerless Conqueror of Nevermore. After resisting competing recruitment efforts, he turns a Fourth Hell prince's perilous ritual into a successful demon-lord evolution. He returns through the Order to Earth, where he leaves Haven's integration problems to Miranda, compels the North Peak Wyvern to release captured vampires, reconnects with Caleb and the rest of his family, and departs with Sandy for the moon as the Prima Guardian event approaches.

Previously: Jake Thayne entered Nevermore with Sylphie, the Sword Saint, Dina, and the Fallen King. Their long C-grade run took them through ordinary floors and four specialized challenge dungeons that tested combat, character, construction, and labyrinth navigation. Jake accumulated exceptional results while strengthening his arcane hunter path, his alchemy, and his bond with the Malefic Viper. His companions developed along separate paths, and their party became tied to several of the multiverse's greatest powers. Beyond Nevermore, Earth continued adapting to the System under Haven and other emerging factions preparing for future threats. Jake's brother Caleb remained connected to the Court of Shadows, Casper worked with the Risen, and the unresolved conflict with Yip of Yore's chosen continued to shadow Jake's growing reputation. One challenge remains before the party can reunite for Nevermore's closing floors: the Never-Ending Journey, which places each competitor alone in the role of a courier.

Jake begins the Never-Ending Journey in Nevermore City as a low-ranked Guild courier with his true strength concealed. His first jobs teach him that couriers receive unusual access and institutional protection but must follow instructions carefully. He advances from city deliveries to dangerous intercity work, earning better medallions and optional side assignments. His second special job is to transport a living fire elemental to the Infernal Baron before its unstable seal fails. Enemies intercept him through a false anti-smuggling group, but Jake kills their strongest mage and tracks the survivors. A hooded representative then executes its own agents remotely and offers Jake a competing delivery. Jake conceals his response, reaches the destination ahead of the deadline, and enters the Baron's warded castle in disguise. There he reveals himself privately while warning that another party is listening. The Baron kneels when a powerful flame projection appears: his father is the true client and believes Jake may serve a larger purpose.

The Duke of Flames explains that his family grows stronger by consuming elementals and asks Jake to infiltrate the organization attacking them. The opposing group also recruits Jake as an informant, leaving each side convinced he is working against the other. Jake uses this position to gather evidence while continuing enough courier work to reach Ancient rank. At a royal gathering, his Shroud of the Primordial defeats every attempt to trace his loyalties. The disguised Guild founder, an S-grade veteran, determines that Jake has remained genuinely neutral and reveals that nobles have coerced Guild workers and falsified jobs. Jake abandons the factional assignments and publicly lays out the schemes of the Duke's family, the elemental-rights organization, and a rival dukedom. The organization's leader attacks him and is killed by the Lord Protector. When the court tries to contain the scandal, the founder reveals his identity and forces action. The responsible ducal families and collaborators are detained. After months of Guild reviews and further work, Jake becomes a Legendary Courier, just as word arrives that the Dragon Tribe has returned.

A massive Dragon Tribe force approaches from another solar system, and the exposed Duke of Flames is revealed to have helped weaken the world's defenses. Jake recruits an isolated S-grade swordsman, but another supposed ally proves loyal to the invaders and collapses her trial around him. He escapes and receives the final courier job: locate the Forsaken Dragonkin and win his aid before the front fails. After months spent deciphering a legendary horn, Jake reaches the dragonkin's sanctuary while enemy forces track him. The exile demands Jake's suicide as his price. Jake refuses and instead releases a fragment of the Malefic Viper's records from within his soul, offering future guidance toward godhood. The Forsaken Dragonkin accepts, destroys the pursuers, and enters the war. His intervention secures victory. The Guild founder promotes Jake as the first mythical courier, completing the challenge. Jake leaves the dragonkin with his sincere view that advancement requires unwavering commitment to one's path. The other party members have taken very different routes through their own courier worlds, with only the Fallen King still finishing.

Jake's courier performance grants a major point award, a final-score multiplier, an all-stat title, and a mythical item capable of awakening the records of another item. He uses it on his alchemist's boots, creating a stronger mythical version with an unexplained message directing him toward a sage. The Malefic Viper recognizes the boots as his former property and says their original owner was the First Sage, his C-grade teacher from the first universe. Jake plans to investigate once his profession advances. He also upgrades his long-range marking skill through a storybook vision, gaining better soul-outline tracking and damage that increases over distance. When the party reunites, Sylphie reveals that she is the progenitor of the new Sylphian hawk lineage. The Sword Saint and Dina each earned a 70 percent challenge multiplier, the Fallen King earned 45 percent, and Jake reveals an extraordinary 105 percent total. Despite his individual leaderboard prospects, all five agree to resume the final floors as a party.

The reunited party enters the Nine Towers, where an apparent terraforming project is actually maintained by orbital systems that periodically scour the planet. They capture the towers, destroy the stations and command ship, kill the Chief Overseer, and activate a recovery protocol that ends the experiment. On the next floor, they defend expanding refugee settlements while Jake hunts the monster factions' leaders with a newly selected penetrating arrow skill. The Sword Saint's time-dilation chamber lets them turn limited outside time into months of training and combat. Over the following decade, the party clears through floor 79, including another event boss, while rapidly gaining levels. Divine observers debate Jake's path and recruitment prospects, with Valdemar openly interested and the Risen judged a poor fit for Jake's altered soul. Jake takes a new profession skill tied to his status as the Malefic Viper's Chosen but delays using it because he is also a Heretic Chosen. With Sylphie's removal deadline approaching, the party has time for only one final floor and commits to seeking its event boss.

Floor 80 contains two empires locked in a magically intensified war that has killed billions. Jake's party discovers that the rulers are independent halves of one Twinhead Ogre, using battlefields and soul-sealing bone spheres to cultivate death and curse energy. Rather than kill a separated half, the party clears the battlefields, modifies the ritual site, and uses Jake's false Lord of Hunger identity to frighten both rulers into merging. The level-335 Twinhead Emperor nearly overwhelms them. Jake's prepared arrow destroys much of one head, the party's trap drains the ritual, and the Fallen King loses an arm and leg while the others suffer severe injuries and exhaustion. The boss sacrifices one head to empower the other and traps Sylphie in hostile wind. Under the killing pressure, she upgrades her wind skill into Sylphian Authority, takes command of the surrounding wind, and kills the emperor. All five survive. They receive the floor reward, a no-death bonus, and a grand achievement for forcing the full merger. With combat finished, they prepare staggered exits designed to maximize their positions on the leaderboards.

The party reaches the final city floor and uses compounded time chambers to let each member's Nevermore timer expire in a planned order. Yip of Yore's chosen briefly leads both the current universe and era standings, while Minaga delays Jake's completion for the public ceremony. Nevermore personally calculates Jake's result: 6,075,583 points, exceeding both his rival and the previous all-time C-grade record. Jake receives the title Peerless Conqueror of Nevermore and drinks a unique restoration reward before appearing at the ceremony. The Nevermore party disperses: Dina returns to the Pantheon of Life, Sylphie leaves for Earth with the Sword Saint and Fallen King, and Jake remains for the ritual. He makes visible visits to several factions and accepts Valhall's hospitality without joining. Meanwhile, the shapeshifting primordial cannot recognize the Malefic Viper's First Sage or that title.

Jake spars Carmen under restrictions, and their contest ends without a winner before they become partners. Carmen still intends to become Valdemar's Chosen and prefers that Jake not enter Valhall above her. Jake then takes control of the Fourth Hell prince's evolution ritual after estimating only an even chance of success. Ten crystallized hearts and Jake's origin energy form a superior Cerulean Devil heart, but its records manifest as a mindless husk inside the prince's soul space and begin consuming him. Jake enters that soul space, restrains the manifestation, and forces it to accept absolute submission to the prince. The prince survives and evolves into a full demon lord. The Malefic Viper explains that the success publicly demonstrates Jake's ability to apply his unusual origin power for other factions. The new demon lord owes Jake a major boon and gives him a crest whose bearer will be honored in the first four hells. With his Nevermore City obligations complete, Jake chooses to return home.

Jake returns to the Order after enormous gains in race, class, and profession levels. The Malefic Viper warns him not to discuss the First Sage except in narrowly defined circumstances. At his residence, Jake finds that Mira has become a High Elf, received Duskleaf's True Blessing, freed her former clan from slavery, and grown into an independent political figure. Erin visits to consider the Fourth Hell crest. In the Pantheon of Life, Yggdrasil examines Dina and finds that prolonged proximity to Jake has changed her soul without mutating it. Artemis has also been affected after far less exposure and now wants a future personal relationship with Jake as well as the chance to teach him archery. Yggdrasil permits the possibility but urges restraint. Sandy returns to Jake and explains that restrictions may prevent direct action against Earth's coming Prima Guardian, although indirect help remains possible. Satisfied that Mira no longer depends on him, Jake leaves the Order with Sandy and heads back to Earth.

Jake and Sandy arrive in Haven. The original forest settlement remains recognizable, but the former Fort has become a metropolis with major racial, cultural, and security tensions. Jake receives a detailed report and decides to leave political intervention to Miranda unless she requests his help. Sandy visits Arnold's workshop and becomes the subject of research into subspace travel, while Jake has Rick tend his time-affinity plant before continuing toward Skiggan. Near the city, vampires from the Sword Saint's clan attack the North Peak Wyvern. The wyvern defeats them and freezes the survivors in its cave. Jake confronts it, learns that it attacks perceived inferiors and uses captives to feed an unusual mountain resource, and orders it to release the vampires and stop indiscriminate attacks. After consulting the Everfrost Dragon God, the wyvern submits to Jake and accepts his restrictions. In the Fourth Hell, the transformed demon lord credits Jake with his survival, and the ruling devil prepares closer relations with the Order and plans to elevate his son.

Jake reaches Skiggan and reunites with his parents, Caleb, Maya, and his nephew Adam. His parents report outside interest in his life, while Caleb admits that decades in Nevermore left him struggling to readjust to ordinary fatherhood. The Sword Saint, now patriarch of the Nobaru clan and a World Council member, learns that vampire clansmen remain missing after the wyvern raid and goes to investigate. He finds that Jake has already secured their release and accepts the resolution. Jake spends more than two quiet weeks with his family and receives a communication token that will allow future video calls. Sandy returns after helping Arnold study subspace travel and combine that knowledge with information from two spacecraft. Haven's integration strains remain for Miranda to address, the Prima Guardian event is still approaching, and several larger mysteries and political obligations remain open. With his family connection restored, Jake leaves Skiggan aboard Sandy and heads for the moon.

Questions about Jake's origin energy, his effect on other souls, the karmic links in his boots, and the erased First Sage remain open. Back on Earth, Haven is stable but strained by integration. Jake leaves those politics to Miranda, settles the immediate dispute between the North Peak Wyvern and the Sword Saint's vampire clan, and spends time with Caleb, Adam, and his parents. With family communication established, Sandy carries Jake toward the moon before the Prima Guardian event.
