Appears from the start

A good-natured wanderer dressed in worn, shaggy clothes. He asks Dorothy for directions, carries a magical Love Magnet, and treats every new companion with generous courtesy.

Appears from the start

Dorothy's small black dog and faithful traveling companion. He cannot speak in Kansas, but remains alert to danger and follows Dorothy when the road turns strange.

Button-Bright (Supporting)

The courteous ruler of Foxville. Like his subjects he has a fox's head, and he entertains the travelers in his palace when their wandering road reaches his kingdom.
