Trouble on Paradise

Set on the planet Paradise, this side story in the Expeditionary Force series follows the aftermath of a failed Keeper uprising against UNEF. When Keeper leaders send raiders to seize UNEF weapons and volunteers to join a Kristang assault on a Ruhar-held Lemurian projector site, both efforts collapse, pushing UNEF into open cooperation with the Ruhar military against the Kristang. As a ceasefire holds and the Ruhar discover valuable Elder artifacts that make Paradise worth defending with a full battlegroup, Major Emily Perkins leads a human team helping reactivate the planet's projector network, while a damaged Kristang frigate lingers in the system under secret orders and a Ruhar pursuit closes in on its trail.
