12 Miles Below III: Grand Design

In the third book of 12 Miles Below, news that Clan Lord Atius has been killed throws Keith Winterscar's clan into crisis, forcing an uneasy acting leadership to manage rioting citizens and a captive faction of Chosen who may or may not be responsible. While Keith investigates the killing and trains his house's knights in secret occult techniques, a machine commander named To'Wrathh lays siege to the nearby human city of Undecider, whose defenders resist a demand for surrender. When the missing Chosen knight force returns with a suspicious demand to meet Keith in person, he joins a rescue operation that turns into an ambush, leaving him isolated underground and face to face with a dangerous machine adversary.
