Keith's older sister and a knight retainer. She helps him open a buried entrance with an occult knife, challenges his neglected harvesting duty, and supports his search for lost communications technology.
Anka Shadowsong (Supporting)

A high-status member of Shadowsong and Kidra's established rival. She proposes a power-cell contest, staking a technical handbook against the occult knife she believes should belong to her. She arrives with two retainers of her own.
Airspeeder pilot (Minor)

An airspeeder pilot who is Keith's friend and transports the expedition party between scavenging sites.
Clan lord (Supporting)

Atius (Supporting)
First appears in chapter 7
The Deathless clan lord, now identified as Atius. At the derelict complex, he directs the scavengers and relic knights and assigns prime relic-knight escorts to the competing teams.
Tenisent (Supporting)

Keith and Kidra's father, now identified as the Winterscar Prime. He is a formidable relic knight assigned to escort his children during the scavenging contest.
Winterscar (Supporting)
Appears from the start
The house relic armor worn by Keith's father when Keith awakens injured underground.
Relinquished (Antagonist)

An apparent hostile intruder detected by the reawakened site's computer system. Its attempted breach prompts the system to erase information and protect navigation data. The warnings establish it as a threat, although its identity and physical nature remain unclear.
Yellow guide
First appears in chapter 22
An unidentified presence associated with sealed side doors that begin flashing gold at Keith and his father. The behavior is unprecedented, and its nature and purpose remain unknown.
Journey (Supporting)
First appears in chapter 25
A masterless Imperial relic armor found in an ancient crypt. It reshapes itself around Keith, monitors his injuries, assists his movement, and registers him as its new user. It replaces the environmental suit that was damaged beyond repair.
Journey's former crusader (Minor)
First appears in chapter 25
Journey's deceased former wearer, an Imperial crusader whose remains lie in the crypt beside the armor and an occult longsword. Journey retains her biometric record and recognizes her as its previous user.
The Feather (Antagonist)
First appears in chapter 44
A spear-wielding machine champion who appears at the blast doors and blocks the party's escape while the doors are closing. The elite combatant's position turns the group's race from the bunker into a direct confrontation at the only viable exit.
To’Aacar (Antagonist)
Also known as The Feather
First appears in chapter 45
The machine champion at the blast doors, now identified as To’Aacar. He knows Atius from a centuries-old conflict and confronts him while the others try to escape. Their recognition makes clear that this is a renewed struggle rather than a chance encounter.
