Having survived the trials Under the Mountain, she carries deep trauma from the innocents she was forced to kill. Engaged to Tamlin, the High Lord of the Spring Court she loves, she is also bound by a bargain to spend one week of every month in the Night Court of the dangerous Rhysand.

The High Lord of the Spring Court, golden-haired and powerful, able to shift into a beast's form. Feyre's rescuer and betrothed, whom she saved Under the Mountain. Having nearly lost her once, he is fiercely protective of her.

Under the Mountain he struck a bargain with Feyre, healing her in exchange for one week of every month in his court, and wore a mask of cruelty in Amarantha's service. His true motives remain a mystery to Feyre as the debt comes due.
