Continuing the Welcome to the Multiverse series, Silas Renner notices his sister developing magical abilities just as a presidential address confirms a monster-infested crisis unfolding in Oslo, prompting him to travel toward Norway to investigate. Along the way he joins three ordinary civilians, Asta, Henrik, and Dutch, each trying to reach family members trapped in the chaos, and helps them survive a string of mana-warped creature attacks while quietly probing Asta's fragmented memories and her connection to a scientist believed responsible for the disaster. As the group fights toward Oslo, two of Silas's companions undergo an irreversible transformation of their own, gaining power just as they discover a university dormitory has become a lethal, monster-filled dungeon holding students they came to rescue.
