Defiance of the Fall 12

By TheFirstDefier, JF Brink

The twelfth entry in Defiance of the Fall sends Zac into the Perennial Vastness, a sealed, time-accelerated trial realm, to pursue a difficult cosmic-core breakthrough too dangerous to attempt at home, guided by Null, a newly assigned administrator bound to his success. While he learns the realm's economy of mana, manors, and city duels, and works to reunite with his companions Catheya and Ogras, factions of the Undead Empire outside the realm scramble over the discovery that Catheya fled into the Vastness after apparently being manipulated into believing the empire meant her harm, deepening the political risk around Zac's secret identity as the Draugr Arcaz Umbrizi. Inside the realm, Zac stakes his first manor on the dangerous peak of Mount Illumination, hoping its heightened environment will strengthen his core formation despite the site's competing pull toward an alien, identity-erasing spiritual path.
