Defiance of the Fall 13

By TheFirstDefier, JF Brink

The thirteenth entry in Defiance of the Fall opens as Zac's dangerous core-formation breakthrough goes wrong: instead of fusing into a stronger single form, he emerges from his hegemony tribulation as two separate, fully embodied selves, one human and one Draugr, sharing a single mind, soul, and cosmic core through a mysterious new link. While the realm's guardian spirit Sendor fends off a rival who tried to seize the unconscious Zac for study, Zac works to control his divided existence, testing how far apart his two bodies can operate and what happens when their connection is severed. Returning home as a newly ascended hegemon, he finds Zekia caught in an escalating interstellar war against the heart-cursed Kan'Tanu, and throws himself back into the fighting under both of his identities, Zachary Atwood and the Draugr Arcaz Umbrizi, even as unresolved questions about his mother's agenda and his sister Kenzie's safety continue to press on him.
