Ventus Calavan (Supporting)

A Radiant Temple star-seeker and numerologist. His recorded warning tells Zac that Ykrodas Havarok captured him after his divinations and identifies a blood-and-soul trap around the City's surviving realm spirit.

Ykrodas Havarok (Supporting)

A Valkyrie leader serving as lieutenant general of Port Atwood's incursion force. She is part of the command entrusted with the operation that Zac must approve despite being unable to return to Earth.

Rhodium (Supporting)

A figure on the Twilight Council who argues that outside interference has exposed the local realm spirit and threatens Twilight Harbor's future.

Aia Ouro (Antagonist)

A powerful Adalon leader directing a soul-crystal array around the Oblivion splinter. They refuse to surrender it because it is essential to an effort to form a realm avatar for the Havarok Empire before the City crisis is resolved.

First appears in chapter 14

An unidentified man who gives off no detectable aura. He kills the badly wounded Aia Ouro and takes their spatial gem.

The Draugr Autark (Supporting)

The realm spirit of the City of Ancients (Supporting)

The residual fusion of the inner worlds left by two dead Autarchs. As its realm collapses, it offers Zac temporal crystals and access to a hidden treasure that might stabilize his critically overextended tool spirit.

Evening Tide Asura (Antagonist)

First appears in chapter 20

The hidden architect of an ascension ritual built around the collapsing Twilight Ocean. It uses ancient Buddhist treasures, primal Dao, and the realm's destruction in an attempt to shed old burdens and ascend.

Arcaz Black (Protagonist)

Appears from the start

Zac's established public undead persona, known before the events of this book.

Alea (Supporting)

The consciousness associated with Love's Bond. While the spirit tool is suffering from destructive energies, she begins consuming a purifier egg recovered from the void and indicates that it will make her stronger.

The Umbrizi matriarch (Supporting)

A high-ranking Clan Charvazi patron who investigates Arcaz Black after Twilight Harbor's destruction. Her avatar confirms that Catheya's ancestor still lives and evaluates Arcaz as a rare life-death edge-walker.

Catheya's master (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 26

Catheya's teacher, who protects her by sealing her in ice during Twilight Harbor's destruction. He later acknowledges spreading word of the Evening Tide Asura's plan at the Asura's request, drawing rival powers into the conflict that enabled the ascension.

Arcaz Umbrizi (Protagonist)

Also known as Arcaz Black, Zac

Orom (Antagonist)

A primordial spatial beast whose body contains a true cultivation realm. It brands Zac and other captives, restricts their abilities and belongings, and ordinarily releases prisoners only after exceptional Dao advancement.

Orom's leading unsealer (Minor)

First appears in chapter 33

A middle-grade monarch attendant who handles Orom's most demanding unsealing work. He releases nearly all of Zac's captured technique archive after securing duplicates for his collection, which he has built over more than fifty thousand years.

Heda (Supporting)

A half-tree monarch living within Orom and the cultivator Zac previously saw protecting plant experiments. She fused her soul with an unknown seed to avoid culling and offers Zac access to her cultivation site.

A gold-attendant monarch and semi-corporeal life elemental whose true core is a shimmering stone within its body. Ubo invites Zac to a specialized cultivation site and offers guidance that may support his life path.

Travo Raso (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 39

An independent enforcer and collector used by the Radiant Temple rather than a formal official. A fellow captive in Orom, he is recognized as the fixer who earlier assisted Zac's cohort.

Pavina (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 40

A silver attendant and pure-death cultivator whose arena fighting draws Zac's attention. Her controlled use of death and refined close-combat technique offer lessons relevant to his own developing combat path within Orom.

Emily (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 41

Zac's disciple and the student of a Big Axe Coliseum elder. After surviving betrayal by her adventuring party, she accepts a place in an E-grade pocket-realm contest with most of her protective resources left behind.

Emily's master (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 41

A Big Axe Coliseum elder who trained Emily. He knowingly allows her party's ambush to proceed as a test, then offers her a seedling position in an E-grade pocket-realm contest if she leaves most of her protective treasures behind.

Three Virtues (Supporting)

Also known as Avatar of Lord 84th, Avatar of the Lotus Emperor

First appears in chapter 47

A Buddhist Sangha monk and peak-monarch power hidden within Orom. He reveals himself as the third-awakened avatar of Lord 84th, the Lotus Emperor, gives Zac a perennial vastness token, and points him toward another remnant.

Kaldor (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 47

A battalion leader and pureblood combat specialist within Orom who holds an Oblivion splinter. He offers it to Zac under a lethal bargain: land a single hit within three years under agreed restrictions or die in the attempt.

Ogras (Supporting)

Zac's demon ally, pursuing Spirit-Lock Physique in a separate mystic realm. He commands the soul-filled spectral army Shadewar while hunting a suitable spirit and follows clues connected to troubling gaps in his memory.

Traprandar (Antagonist)

First appears in chapter 54

A late-hegemon bronze attendant who accepts Zac's high-stakes arena wager. He fights with paired bladed rings and a Dao associated with stars and life, making him a severe test of Zac's human-form technique.

Harrow (Minor)

The goblin mage (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 45

An unnamed researcher examining the hazardous legacy of the fallen R'alashar, with particular interest in Spirit Lock Physique. His work requires aid from an imprisoned ghost, though he worries that completing the last tower key will return the spirit to strength.

The bound goblin ghost (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 45

A ghost bound to a goblin mage who presses him to cultivate Spirit-Lock Physique and finish their larger project. The mage needs its help but fears the tower's last key might restore the ghost's strength.
