Previously in the Wallflowers series: Annabelle, Lillian, Daisy, and Evie formed a friendship while repeatedly sitting out London society's dances and agreed to help one another marry. Annabelle wed Simon Hunt, and Lillian fell in love with Marcus, Earl of Westcliff. Sebastian St. Vincent, Westcliff's impoverished former friend, abducted Lillian in a last attempt to marry money, but Westcliff rescued her and married her. Sebastian begins this book disgraced and cut off from his friends. Evie, the quietest Wallflower, is an heiress through her estranged father, Ivo Jenner, who owns a famous gaming club. Her mother's relatives have controlled and mistreated her for years while planning to keep her fortune within their family.
