Dragon Heart - Book 9: Land of Pain

By Kirill Klevanski, Valeria Kornosenko

Book 9 of the Dragon Heart series opens as the capital hosts the centennial Tournament of the Twelve, its winner promised discipleship under a legendary visiting master while war with Laskan looms in the background. Hadjar competes hooded and unrecognized until his name is revealed mid-tournament, reuniting him with Einen and drawing him into a renewed conspiracy: allies including Annis and Dora ask for his help removing the head of the Predatory Blades clan, who is expected to move against them all once the tournament ends. As the tournament's demanding forest trial begins, Hadjar leads a mixed squad of allies through it, using the contest itself as cover to advance the plot.
