Flag in Exile

By David Weber

The fifth entry in the Honor Harrington series opens as the war with Haven enters a more dangerous phase after a costly ambush forces a Manticoran fleet into retreat, while on Grayson, Honor Harrington struggles under grief and threats to her life following the murder of Paul Tankersley. As Steadholder, Honor faces organized religious and political opposition determined to undermine her position because of her sex and her Manticoran origins, even as Grayson's navy, worn down and short of experienced officers, looks to her for the leadership it urgently needs. Weighing whether she can bear the responsibility of commanding others again after profound personal loss, Honor confronts a renewed call to return to naval duty as the war grows only harder to win.
