A young Gnoll who belongs to Erin's household and is watched over by the adults of the inn.

Toren (Supporting)

Erin's former undead worker, whom she now believes was a person. She accepts that she failed him without overlooking the people he killed or his attack on her.

A Liscor Watch officer who helps restore the rebuilt inn's magical door and has an informal protective bond with Mrsha.

Grimalkin (Supporting)

A powerful Drake mage whose severe training joins physical conditioning with magical study. He adopts Erin's exercise ideas and prepares a Gnoll apprentice to demonstrate spellcasting.

Flos (Protagonist)

The ruler of Rhyme, rebuilding both his kingdom and army. While watching the crisis in Pallas, he uses the broadcast to demand the return of Ameris.

Orthenon (Supporting)

Flos's steward and left hand, responsible for carrying out the king's political and military direction.

Ghazi (Supporting)

A half-Gazer and one of Flos's Seven. She identifies the creatures attacking Pallas as exceptionally dangerous frost wyverns.

Pebblesnatch (Protagonist)

The senior Antinium ruler who holds the Free Queen responsible for Bird’s dangerous claim. She threatens consequences while accepting that the Hives must address negotiations involving Liscor.
