Life Reset: EvP (Environment vs. Player)

By Shemer Kuznits

The second New Era Online novel finds Oren defending his growing goblin settlement, Goblin's Gorge, after a party of travelers sent by his old guild rival tracks him down, forcing a deadly ambush that leaves both sides devastated. Fearing a larger retaliation, Oren races to strengthen his clan's defenses and religious standing while a college friend working for the game's developer intervenes to help him remember his human identity and the truth behind his transformation. As Oren rebuilds, he opens trade with a visiting merchant delegation, binds himself more deeply to his patron deity for protection, and leads a small team to seize a nearby fort tied to a demonic threat. Along the way, new human players begin arriving at his settlement under an unusual company program, adding fresh complications to Oren's effort to keep his people, and his own secret, safe.
