Mage Tank

After a fatal bicycle accident, Arlo wakes in an unfamiliar world's character-creation chamber and is given a second life inside what functions like a role-playing game, complete with classes, stats, and an assigned starting party. He builds a defensive-focused Fortitude character around health regeneration and a touch-range dimensional attack, then is thrown with four strangers into a mandatory, high-difficulty trial dungeon under a disputed leader's command. As poison, hostile creatures, and a manipulated dungeon guardian pick the party apart one by one, Arlo begins to suspect the dungeon's real threat is not the monsters but something directing them from within.
