A 35-year-old man from Earth who dies in a bicycle accident and accepts an offered respawn. He awakens in a younger body inside an unfamiliar character-creation room, able to understand writing he has never learned.

The unidentified divine being attached to Arlo's character record. The patron appears responsible for his unusual arrival benefits and has intervened in his former life, but its identity and purpose remain unknown.

The displaced executive core of Toxic Grotto, carried in a rune-covered orb. Hognay has coerced Grotto into drawing candidates to their deaths, making the core both a crucial guide and an ally the survivors cannot fully trust.

A level-two infiltrator who coerces Grotto, stages wounds on murdered candidates, and drains Toxic Grotto through a summoned C'thun. He can impose mental commands and escapes Arlo's first attack through a shifting breach.

An armed Guardian assigned to escort and monitor Arlo after officials discover that he is missing from the creation-group records. Lito watches the unregistered newcomer closely while the facility investigates his entry.

A gold-level official who retrieves Arlo's Delver record and accepts its redacted nationality as enough to clear the immediate records dispute. Grotto quietly suppresses the unusual emotional effect her presence has on Arlo.

Orexis's sister and an imprisoned divine avatar embodying release. Fortune removes Anesis from Cage through the portal network and takes her to Hiward, leaving Orexis's soul fragment behind.
Clay construct

A six-armed clay figure animated through a primordial obelisk to complete the captor's forced five-person Cage team. The construct is intended to hold part of its creator's soul, but Grotto interrupts the procedure before stabilization is complete.

The name chosen by the clay construct after Cage runes expel the possessing soul fragment. Etja says her original imposed purpose ended with that separation, and Arlo prevents her execution while the party assesses her independent will.

The core of a containment Delve destabilized by a Void Sphere. Cage assigns the trapped team to prevent collapse and stop a divine specter from breaching central confinement.

A captive divine aspect that Cage considers the safest available countermeasure. Freeing Fortune may stop the specter, or Anesis if needed, though the party remains wary of every prisoner in the failing Delve.

Fortune is the divine being responsible for Arlo's arrival. He confirms that he transported the continuous Arlo from Earth and that the world Arlo left is now millennia beyond recovery.

A powerful extradimensional creature summoned by Arlo during the battle for Cage's first lock. Shog Tuatha protects Etja, opposes the swarming aberrations, and remains bound to Arlo for the spell's duration.
