By Cornman

Every entry below is hidden until you open it, and each names the chapter the character first appears in.

Arlo Xor'Drel (Protagonist)

Also known as Arlo

Appears from the start

The leader of Fortune's Folly and master of the Pocket Delve. Arlo is a Level 10 dimensional mage whose teleportation, Soul Sight, protective auras, and bond with Grotto make him both a front-line combatant and the center of the party's support network.

Grotto (Supporting)

Also known as Core 1156, Core 1156B

Appears from the start

The Core of the Pocket Delve and Arlo's soul-linked co-operator. Grotto can manifest, communicate mentally, administer his Delve, and assist Arlo's abilities. Their unusually close connection gives each of them insight into the other's condition.

Varrin (Supporting)

Also known as Lord Varrin Ravvenblaq

Appears from the start

A politically connected Ravvenblaq swordsman and Fortune's Folly's front-line fighter. Varrin combines disciplined weapon work with an evolving spirit whose power and instability make it a significant concern for both him and the party.

Xim (Supporting)

Appears from the start

A divine fighter and healer in Fortune's Folly. Xim fights at close range with divine fire, shields, fear effects, and a formidable transformation, while her healing and defensive magic allow the party to survive otherwise fatal engagements.

Nuralie (Supporting)

Appears from the start

A displaced Eschendur native who serves as an Inquisitor, scout, alchemist, and archer. Nuralie specializes in poisons, traps, precise ranged attacks, detection, and spiritual investigation, giving the party both battlefield control and careful analysis.

Etja (Supporting)

Also known as clay construct, golem-turned-Delver

Appears from the start

A sentient construct-bodied Delver with inherited memories and potent divine magic. Etja can use Nullify and Shared Vessel, but her origin includes a harmful connection to Orexis that remains a danger rather than an allegiance.

Arlo's C'than summon (Supporting)

Also known as chthonic summon

Appears from the start

Arlo's resilient extradimensional combat summon. He can recover in his home dimension and return changed by his experiences, making him a powerful but independently minded ally whose physical, dimensional, and spiritual abilities continue to develop.

Fortune (Supporting)

Also known as Arlo's patron

Appears from the start

A dangerous but apparently helpful avatar-linked power associated with Arlo's unusual eye-derived abilities and Traveler's Amulet. Fortune's interest has benefited Arlo, but the extent and purpose of that influence remain uncertain.

Orexis (Antagonist)

Appears from the start

A hostile divine influence tied to Etja's origin. A shard of Orexis's soul was concealed within her, leaving the party alert to the possibility that this connection may still threaten Etja or those around her.

Avarice

First appears in chapter 19

The powerful host of the special Delve's central chamber. Avarice receives Fortune's Folly amid the doomed aspirants after Varrin recovers from the final test. Her position suggests control over this stage, but her purpose and terms have not yet been explained.

Yara (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 42

A goddess invoked by a visiting spatial mage in Arlo's Expansion Delve. She offers Arlo a choice and, under the terms he accepts, tames the dimensional plant while preserving the visitors' earned rewards.

Riona Ravvenblaq (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 46

Varrin's younger sister and an apprentice to House Ravvenblaq's Keeper of Decorum. She arrives at Arlo's estate while preparations are underway for a royal visit.

Eschendur Triarch (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 48

One of Eschendur's three theocratic rulers. The Triarch arrives at Arlo's domain before the Hiwardian delegation and offers sovereign recognition and potential treaties if Arlo creates a governing structure for his dimensional territory.

Hiwardian king (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 49

Hiward's ruler, a first-generation Delver and former leader of a slave rebellion with thirty platinum levels. He visits Arlo's Pocket Delve to assess the rapidly advancing party and the wider avatar crisis under carefully negotiated security limits.

Ealdric Ravvenblaq Sr. (Supporting)

Also known as Ravvenblaq patriarch

First appears in chapter 55

Varrin's father and a senior Ravvenblaq Delver responding to the crisis at Arlo's estate. When the guarded lounge is found empty, Ealdric tests the apparent Kingsguard, immediately recognizes the detail as false, and acts with decisive force.

Hysteria (Antagonist)

First appears in chapter 62

A hostile avatar who confronts Arlo in a Kingsguard disguise and admits abducting the king, Fortune's Folly, and other delegates. Hysteria uses illusion, mental attacks, elaborate deception, and identity-related threats.

Dread Star (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 64

A power Arlo invokes inside Hysteria's isolated void prison after Varrin's sister remains unable to join the group needed for escape.

Wasteland paladin (Antagonist)

First appears in chapter 69

A durable divine attacker in the five-person force assaulting Arlo's mansion. The paladin engages Arlo directly while supporting the other Wastelanders with healing and consecration, revealing a more versatile combat role than a simple front-line bruiser.

Wasteland martial fighter (Minor)

First appears in chapter 69

A member of the five-person Wasteland assault force who attacks Xim at close range during the mansion battle.
