Riley Cruz (Protagonist)

Appears from the start

A goat shifter who is turning a rented warehouse into a base for her artifact-retrieval crew. Riley can perceive magic but cannot cast ordinary spells, and she begins the new Enclave assignment while still trying to understand that contradiction.

Max Volkov (Supporting)

Appears from the start

A wolf-shifter pack leader, tribunal authority, and Riley's romantic partner. He helps the crew establish its warehouse headquarters and is serious about pursuing a relationship with Riley while balancing his wider responsibilities.

Nash Mitchell (Supporting)

Appears from the start

A former Green Beret who serves as the crew's security specialist. Nash helps prepare the warehouse and joins Riley's Enclave operation, bringing practical field experience to a group that expects both magical and conventional threats.

Dez (Supporting)

Appears from the start

A vampire who provides technical and intelligence support to Riley's crew. Dez joins the work of equipping their shared headquarters and brings skills suited to research, surveillance, and creating the infrastructure behind an operation.

Callie (Supporting)

Appears from the start

A necromancer and one of Riley's trusted co-operators. Callie helps establish the warehouse base, works directly alongside Riley, and is protective when Riley's developing relationship with Max Volkov enters the crew's shared life.

Bea (Supporting)

Also known as B, Bee

Appears from the start

A witch allied with Riley who helps give the new headquarters a working magical library. Bea contributes books and supplies from the closed Old World Occult and Curiosities before leaving for a coven-related meeting.

Helen (Supporting)

Appears from the start

Riley's witch mentor and a trusted source of magical analysis. Helen belongs to the close circle helping with coven affairs and is positioned to investigate why Riley can see magic even though she cannot use it in the usual way.

Alice (Minor)

Appears from the start

A witch in Helen's trusted circle. Alice joins Helen, Bea, and Janice for a coven-related meeting as Riley's crew settles into its new headquarters, placing her among the allies involved in the group's magical concerns.

Janice (Minor)

Appears from the start

A witch allied with Riley and part of Helen's close circle. Janice attends the coven-related meeting with Helen, Bea, and Alice while Riley's artifact crew prepares its warehouse for future operations.

Craig Ward (Supporting)

Also known as Craig, Ward

Appears from the start

A tribunal enforcer and Enclave shadow who helps Riley's group equip its warehouse. Craig is accustomed to official supernatural enforcement, giving the newly assembled crew a direct connection to the institutions behind its assignments.

Cage Sato (Supporting)

Also known as Sato

Appears from the start

Riley's Enclave handler. Sato contacts her after the warehouse gathering to arrange a video call about a new assignment, serving as the official channel through which the crew receives supernatural retrieval work.

Garth (Supporting)

Appears from the start

A rooster brought to the warehouse by Nash while the crew establishes its headquarters. Garth is an unusual but accepted presence among the assembled operatives, though nothing at his introduction explains whether he has any role beyond accompanying the group.

Zara Bellarose (Antagonist)

Also known as Bellarose

First appears in chapter 2

A recently released artifact conspirator who still has access to a stolen blood-tracing spell. The Enclave cannot hold her because Isaac and Luca Cardelli are unavailable as witnesses, leaving her free and dangerous as Riley begins a new recovery job.

Luca Cardelli (Antagonist)

Also known as Cardelli

First appears in chapter 2

A former Enclave retrieval specialist identified as the operative who betrayed the organization and delivered demon cuffs to Zara Bellarose. His absence also helps prevent the Enclave from making its case against her.

Monty Corville

Also known as Corville

First appears in chapter 2

A stuntman who appeared in Hollywood six months earlier and now displays a demon spellbook in his home. His conspicuous parties give Riley's team a possible route to the artifact, but the Enclave does not yet know whether he is human or supernatural.

Amelia Hunt (Supporting)

Also known as Amelia Cruz

First appears in chapter 3

The woman who raised Riley and whom Riley regards as her mother. Records identify her as Amelia Hunt and reveal a concealed history involving elite schooling, varied technical training, stolen property, and an unresolved East Coast art-heist arrest before she vanished from official records.

Tegan (Minor)

First appears in chapter 5

A member of Max Volkov's pack leadership who handles administrative problems in his absence. Tegan contacts him about a bar disturbance during his first official date with Riley, showing how readily pack business intrudes on his private time.

Irina Volkov (Supporting)

Also known as Irina

First appears in chapter 7

Max Volkov's mother, whose unexpected arrival at his Kansas City home interrupts the aftermath of his date with Riley. Her presence immediately raises questions about Volkov's family and what her visit may mean for his developing relationship.

Martha (Antagonist)

First appears in chapter 8

The Kansas City coven’s high priestess, who leaves Riley a message demanding a supposedly friendly meeting. Riley interprets the demand as pressure to submit to a formal magical evaluation.

Martha Matthews (Antagonist)

Also known as Martha

First appears in chapter 11

The Kansas City coven leader’s full identity. Her organization receives a public-nuisance citation tied to a vending-machine prank outside its headquarters.

Alona (Minor)

First appears in chapter 15

A subordinate in Martha Matthews's coven who helps enforce the high priestess's claim over Riley. Alona fastens magic-canceling cuffs on Riley during the forced transfer to coven headquarters for evaluation.

Celeste (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 16

A witch member of the supernatural tribunal who convenes an emergency hearing after the coven complains about Riley, placing her in a position to consider the competing claims of coven and shifter authority.

Norman (Minor)

First appears in chapter 17

The vampire representative on the supernatural tribunal. Norman supports the coven's request to compel Riley's evaluation during the emergency hearing.

Anya (Minor)

First appears in chapter 16

Max Volkov's deceased sister, remembered through his piano playing and her desire to become a Bolshoi prima ballerina. Her love of ballet remains a private source of grief that Riley encounters while seeking refuge at Volkov's home.

Robert Thompson (Antagonist)

Also known as Robert, Thompson

First appears in chapter 21

A set designer on Monty Corville's film and the leading match for the pool worker seen before Corville's death. A purchase trail for pool chemicals connects Robert to the investigation, though the team has not yet confirmed whether he was the masked thief or an accomplice.

Phoebe Thompson (Antagonist)

Also known as Phoebe

First appears in chapter 24

Robert Thompson's wife and the air-magic practitioner identified as Riley's attacker during the spellbook theft. Property records connect the couple to a Nebraska ranch and an old missile silo, making Phoebe central to the crew's new lead.

Erica (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 29

A fire elemental from Omaha who arrives as backup through Bea's discreet Witch's Council contact. Erica says she has Council support and proposes involving local law enforcement, but Riley has not approved her presence or confirmed the extent of her authority.
