The genetically enhanced captain of the Phoenix and leader of Omega Force. While his ship completes a separate contract, Jason remains on Aracoria to test the limits of extensive physical upgrades and learn how to control his increased strength and reflexes.

Crusher (Supporting)

An exceptionally capable combat specialist serving aboard the Phoenix. Crusher is one of the teammates operating with the ship while Jason and Kage undergo medical work on Aracoria, and he is trusted with the crew's demanding security contracts.

Lucky (Supporting)

A highly capable combat member of the Phoenix crew. Lucky remains with the ship during Jason's treatment on Aracoria, helping complete a security-training contract alongside Crusher and Twingo while the other members are temporarily unavailable.

Kage (Supporting)

Appears from the start

A Veran code slicer whose criminal work has previously forced changes of identity. Kage is receiving a powerful replacement neural computer on Aracoria, an invasive upgrade whose recovery time and ultimate capabilities remain uncertain.

Dr. Ma'Fredich (Supporting)

Also known as Doc

Appears from the start

Jason's physician and geneticist, overseeing the final evaluation of his extensive biological enhancements on Aracoria. Doc determines that Jason has reached the practical limit of such treatment and advises against pursuing more invasive cybernetic gains.

Twingo (Supporting)

Appears from the start

The Phoenix's engineer and a member of Omega Force. Twingo is away with the gunship while Jason completes his upgrades on Aracoria, keeping the vessel operating during the crew's temporary split and its outside security work.

Captain Kellea Colleren (Supporting)

Also known as Kellea

Appears from the start

A starship captain who maintains a slowly developing personal relationship with Jason while pursuing her own work elsewhere. Their contact continues during his stay on Aracoria, with the two separated by their respective commitments.

Crisstof Dalton (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 2

The provider of the operational expense funds used by Jason's group.

Lord Felex Tezakar (Supporting)

Also known as Felex

First appears in chapter 5

The formal identity behind Crusher's familiar name. He is a gelten and the exiled Guardian Archon of Galvetor, a rank unexpectedly disclosed when a gelten emissary and two Galvetic warriors recognize him at Colton Hub and seek his attention.

the Caretaker (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 5

A female gelten known only by the honorific Caretaker when she approaches Crusher at Colton Hub. Accompanied by two Galvetic warriors, she recognizes him as Lord Felex Tezakar and seeks him out because of an urgent matter not yet explained.

Connimon Helick (Supporting)

Also known as the Caretaker

First appears in chapter 6

The gelten emissary first encountered under the honorific Caretaker. Connimon spent more than seven months searching for Felex and now asks him to address a mounting crisis on Galvetor, where senior Legion leaders have been imprisoned.

Morakar Reddix (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 6

A Galvetic warrior who accompanies Connimon in her long search for Felex. Morakar is the elder of the Reddix brothers and arrives as part of the delegation seeking the exiled Archon's help with Galvetor's worsening political crisis.

Mazer Reddix (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 6

Morakar's younger brother and a Galvetic warrior in Connimon's delegation. Mazer has also waited months to find Felex, hoping the exiled Guardian Archon can respond to arrests and the threat of civil conflict within the Galvetor system.

Fordix (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 7

Felex's mentor and paternal figure, and one of the senior Legion leaders imprisoned during Galvetor's political crisis. The report of Fordix's arrest overcomes Felex's resistance to becoming involved and prompts a covert investigation from Restaria.

Fostel (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 9

The senior voice among the three Praetores who lead the Archon's Fist. Fostel represents a secret order established during Felex's exile, ostensibly created by Fordix to maintain unity among Restaria's rival Legions.

Zetarix (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 9

One of the three Praetores commanding the Archon's Fist, a secret order that arose after Felex was exiled. Zetarix takes the most hostile view of Galvetor as the group briefs the returning Archon on Fordix's imprisonment.

Mutabor (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 9

A Praetor and one of the three leaders of the Archon's Fist. Mutabor is willing to credit Connimon's political assessment when the secret order meets Felex, and joins the discussion of Fordix's arrest and the danger facing the Legions.

Meluuk (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 11

A Galvetor-based contact for the Archon's Fist who handles local transport for the Casguard operation. Meluuk meets the covert team at Cessell Spaceport and moves its members through the gate inside a concealed airtruck.

Kade Trask (Supporting)

Also known as Captain Kade Trask

First appears in chapter 18

Captain of the 108th Legion salvage ship that carried away the Phoenix under apparently regular orders. After Jason's team forces his vessel down, Kade says the gunship and its two captives were delivered alive and agrees to guide the rescuers onward.

Zellon (Minor)

First appears in chapter 23

A lieutenant of the 8th Legion who followed mobilization orders bearing Crusher's authorization. Once detained and questioned, Zellon learns that the signature was forged and becomes a confidential source as Crusher investigates the forces gathered around Ker.
