Return of the Runebound Professor 5: A Progression Fantasy Epic

By Actus

Continuing the series, Noah learns that his group has survived an ambush by a rank-five Inquisitor, at the cost of the demon Azel, who dies protecting Lee and reveals as his last words that he is her father. The sacrifice leaves Lee with an unstable, half-formed demon rune that threatens to consume her, and Noah begins searching for a way to understand and eventually repair it. While quietly rebuilding runes for Tim, a low-ranked ally trapped by years of poor rune quality, Noah also guides his students toward channeling actual magic through the personal combat patterns each has been developing, a dangerous step that can maim an inexperienced mage. Meanwhile, the group works with the veteran hunter Silvertide to track Wizen, a mage responsible for recent attacks, whose true goal appears to involve the Torrin family and an object hidden somewhere within Arbitage itself.
