Rexus: Side Quest
By Dakota Krout
The third entry in the series finds Jaxon, a monk who treats his combat techniques as chiropractic medicine, knocked out of a war between humans and Wolfmen by a fatal blast. Returning to find his party's cause hardened into a campaign against defeated civilians that he finds morally wrong, he leaves his party to pursue an individual specialization instead, funding his travels by treating injured townsfolk who mostly react to his methods with fear rather than gratitude. When he intervenes to save a group of Wolfman refugees from human bounty hunters, an elder among them repays him with safe passage, lessons in Wolfman customs, and a lead on a remote temple where a solitary trial promises a powerful specialization.
