Ritual of Ruin

By Kel Kade

The seventh entry in the series picks up as Rezkin and the Ielvanen general Azeria recover from a failed confrontation with King Caydean, whose combined Spiritua and Daemon power has proven too strong to face directly. With his bonded dragon Sina increasingly dependent on his magic for survival, Rezkin needs a decisive advantage against Caydean and the wider Daemon threat. Guided toward the isolated ruins of Grestag, he and his companions seek out the nearly extinct dwarves, whose surviving craft may hold weapons effective against demons, gaining new allies including a wary dwarven engineer and a young apprentice willing to join the cause. A separate thread follows Wesson's dangerous attempts to break the magical oaths binding enemy mages into forced service, while Rezkin secures a bargain with the Fae for a vital source of magical power at the cost of a future obligation.
