Starfall

By Joshua Dalzelle

The sixteenth Omega Force novel finds captain Jason Burke rescuing a young researcher from agents of a rising new power that has emerged from the wreckage of the fallen Confederation. The researcher says the agents killed his family while hunting for a device connected to a failed project called Starfall, which caused a catastrophic stellar accident that destroyed ships and infrastructure at a mining colony. As Jason investigates the wrecked site and reports his findings to intelligence contacts, mounting evidence - strikes that erase evidence, a second devastated system, and the new nation's suspiciously rapid buildup - suggests Starfall may be a weapon rather than an accident, pulling Omega Force into a search for the researchers who built it.
