Stolen characters

By Kelley Armstrong

Every entry below is hidden until you open it, and each names the chapter the character first appears in.

Elena Michaels (Protagonist)

Appears from the start

The only known female werewolf and a member of Jeremy Danvers's Pack. Elena now divides her time between Stonehaven and work in Toronto, but her unusual status attracts the attention of people investigating evidence that werewolves exist.

Clayton Danvers (Supporting)

Also known as Clay

Appears from the start

Elena's mate and the Pack's chief enforcer. Clay is intelligent, territorial, and uncompromising about threats to Elena or Pack secrecy. His first instinct is to distrust the strangers who claim there are other kinds of supernatural people.

Jeremy Danvers (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 2

Alpha of the North American werewolf Pack. Jeremy responds cautiously when outsiders approach Elena with proof of the supernatural, balancing Clay's suspicion against the danger that humans may already be collecting the same evidence.

Paige Winterbourne (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 3

A young witch who helps arrange a meeting with Elena. Paige is direct, capable, and impatient with the guarded habits of older supernatural leaders. She is Ruth Winterbourne's daughter and shares her concern about human investigation.

Ruth Winterbourne (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 3

A senior witch and Paige's mother. Ruth is an experienced representative of her people and one of the organizers trying to bring several supernatural races together after signs that a human group has learned of their existence.

Cassandra DuCharme (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 4

A vampire involved in the uneasy gathering of supernatural delegates. Cassandra is polished, secretive, and accustomed to taking a long view. Her composure and her people's strict rules make her difficult for Elena to read.

Adam Vasic (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 4

A half-demon whose power is connected to fire. Adam is younger and less formal than the delegates around him, and he becomes one of Paige's most dependable allies as the group tries to understand the human threat.

Xavier Reese

First appears in chapter 7

A powerful half-demon able to move himself and others instantly from place to place. Xavier approaches Elena with his own interests and shifting loyalties, making his assistance useful but difficult to trust.

Tyrone Winsloe (Antagonist)

Also known as Ty

First appears in chapter 9

The wealthy owner of a hidden research compound holding supernatural captives. Winsloe treats their abilities as possessions to be studied and their lives as material for his private ambitions and entertainment.

Dr. Matasumi (Antagonist)

First appears in chapter 9

The physician directing experiments at Winsloe's compound. Matasumi is fascinated by supernatural biology and presents systematic captivity, testing, and forced procedures as scientific work.

Savannah Levine (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 10

A gifted young witch held inside Winsloe's compound. Savannah is angry, observant, and unusually powerful for her age. The death of her mother has left her suspicious of adults, but she forms a cautious bond with Elena.

Leah O'Donnell (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 11

A half-demon captive who can move objects without touching them. Leah is bold and volatile, and she offers Elena information about the compound and the other prisoners while pursuing concerns of her own.

Sondra Bauer (Minor)

First appears in chapter 18

A human associated with the compound who becomes the subject of an attempt to manufacture a werewolf. Bauer's transformation demonstrates that Winsloe and Matasumi are willing to turn supernatural lives into a repeatable experiment without understanding the consequences.
