System Interference

The fifth entry in the System Universe series continues Derek Hunt's story after an evolution rewrites his race and class into Human Void and Void Monarch, granting new void-based abilities under an oath that bars him from explaining their source. His bonded companion Silvi evolves as well, and the pair gain the power to share class skills with each other for a year. Derek commissions a death-attuned glaive, Void's Harbinger, while his raid party works through a dungeon trial that has already killed two of its elite members in separate ordeals; he ultimately volunteers for a solo duel himself, against a massive toxic aquatic beast that forces him to fight from within its own body. Outside the dungeon, the allied city of Cydaria remains under sustained invasion while its defenders wait for the raid party to return.
