Tenacity

By Dakota Krout

The ninth Completionist Chronicles novel follows Joe and roughly eighty thousand dwarven and human refugees as they establish a foothold in a freezing giant world after fleeing Alfheim. While recovering an interworld portal artifact called the Pyramid of Panacea, the group inadvertently drags a world boss through with it, and in the fight that follows, an apparent system error credits Joe with the killing blow and leaves him holding a powerful mythic core. As the fledgling settlement scrambles to build shelter, a forge, and stabilizing infrastructure against the cold, it must also prepare its defenses for a coming series of beast waves that will test its buildings and its leadership, including Joe's own uncertain standing within the dwarven council.
