An alchemist closely tied to the Pyramid of Panacea. Jake urgently supports recovering the artifact building during the refugees' escape.

An adviser on settlement layout who explains building-slot limits and helps Joe choose where new structures should be placed.

A dwarven official who reports expected monster-core yields, confirms Joe's ownership of creatures he kills, and arranges a corpse-storage warehouse that grants Joe a share of its materials.
Major Cleavage (Supporting)

A returning dwarven officer now serving as a council messenger. Major Cleavage exposes the flaw in a building-limit law aimed at Joe and openly questions the council's treatment of him after her experience working alongside humans.
Socar (Supporting)

A human mage who studies formations and variant architecture. Havoc assigns Socar to Joe's defensive-design team, where his understanding of linked magical layouts offers a way to make settlement-scale rituals work together.
Heartpiercer McShootypants (Supporting)

A human bow fighter whose expertise covers planned target orders and intersecting firing lanes. Heartpiercer McShootypants joins Joe's design team and quickly finds a geometric improvement that can reduce the mana cost of his defensive bubbles.
Armored Iceberg Rhinocelus (Antagonist)
First appears in chapter 31
An upgrade-wave boss encased in regenerative ice armor and supported by elite salamanders. The Armored Iceberg Rhinocelus smashes through a long section of the village wall and prepares to charge the defenders behind it.

An intelligent boss commanding a gathered monster force during the settlement's upgrade trial. The Frozen Cyclops speaks to the defenders, demands that they destroy their own city center, and can delay its army while later waves approach.
Query adviser (Minor)
First appears in chapter 38
An adviser Joe contacts through Query when the system presents a choice between experience and ritual resources. The Query adviser recommends rejecting both offered restrictions, though the person's identity and authority remain unclear.
