The Enemy Within

By Joshua Dalzelle

The fourth Omega Force novel opens with Captain Jason Burke's crew rescuing him after a brutal interrogation by an arms smuggler, then delivering the smuggler to the client who commissioned his capture. With that contract closed, Jason approves a short shore leave at an orbital resort, but the crew's downtime ends abruptly when they intercept a coded distress signal from Kellea Colleren, a close ally whose ship was intercepted by ConFed forces after violence on a contested world. Jason redirects his ship to extract her from hiding, and the rescue turns into a running fight through hostile territory and a pursuit that follows them into orbit, leaving the fate of Kellea's missing fellow officer and the truth behind the accusations against an old benefactor still unresolved.
