The galaxy was still completing the Prima Guardian event, whose end would reopen political competition among its worlds. The Fallen King's apparent sacrifice stopped a desolation entity, yet the creature's true end was uncertain and its loss remained personal for Jake. As the new volume begins, Jake is close to recovering physically, the wider galaxy is nearing a major realignment, and Ell'Hakan remains the opponent most likely to exploit it.

The final Prima Guardian falls after a suspicious delay on a world controlled by Ell'Hakan's side. Before that happens, Jake and Earth's leaders prepare for the political opening that will follow. They favor alliances and influence over direct conquest, while quietly considering an offensive against Ell'Hakan. Arnold proposes a void sphere to prevent escape, and Jake completes a one-use arrow built around Eternal Hunger. He then unlocks more of Sagacity of the Malefic Viper, upgrading it to mythical, and places a record manifestation inside Jake's soul space for a final lesson. The manifestation repeatedly overwhelms Jake until he recognizes that the space is his own world and that its limits reflect his expectations. Jake rebuilds it as a living forest balanced among his three energies. His soul mutates into Anomalous Arcane Soul, gaining stability and more efficient resources at the cost of greater future advancement requirements. The Sage leaves a legacy book containing staged instruction and possible guidance for Jake's lingering injury.
